Emily Potter BSc (Hons)

Veterinary Physiotherapist
Emily graduated from Harper Adams University in 2022 with a Bachelors degree in Science with Honors in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Emily has always been passionate about animals, especially horses, and being in their company has always made her feel at home. It was very early on in Emily's life that she realised that she wanted to dedicate her career to improving the quality of life of all animals and inspiring others to do the same. Emily has a wealth of experience in working with animals and has worked with stunt and performance horses, rescue dogs, farm animals and worked in various veterinary clinics. Although Emily enjoys working with all animals, she has a particular fondness of working with retired 'Golden Oldies'!
If you have any questions regarding Emily's qualifications or experience, please don't hesitate to ask!

Blackjack

Equine Education

Blackjack is Emily's 22 year old Shire x Cob and is the main inspiration for Emily becoming a Veterinary Physiotherapist. Blackjack has led an interesting life and is currently enjoying retirement on his farm, completing short walks and simple physiotherapy exercises to keep him fit and healthy. He is a big personality on the farm with an even bigger heart which is why he is often used as our equine model to demonstrate anatomy, physiology, management systems, rehabilitative exercises and more! He often pops up on our Facebook page, Instagram page and Educational fact sheets.
Here at Potter Vet Physio, we want owners to feel more involved with their horses and their rehabilitation, therefore it is very important to have an equine model who really enjoys their job, and no one loves helping others more than Blackjack!

Jensen
Canine Education
Jensen is Emily's 8 year old Golden Labrador and is the main model for canine education here at Potter Vet Physio. Jensen is a larger than life character and loves everyone he meets. He's always looking to be the centre of attention which is why he makes the perfect model! Like Blackjack, Jensen will be helping to demonstrate anatomy, physiology, management systems, rehabilitative exercises and more!
Jensen will also be coming along to sponsored events that Emily will be attending and will be more than happy to meet you!
